One of my resolutions this year is not repurchasing any products that are not cruelty free. I am an animal lover (mainly cats of course) and can’t stand the thought that an animal had to be harmed or killed to make a product for me to use.

This weekend I needed to repurchase some items and was pleased to find out some of the products I love are cruelty free and readily available.

At CVS, I bought Tresseme Shampoo and Hairspray, Mitchum Women’s Deodorant, and St Ives Green Tea Scrub which all state on the back – not tested on animals.

I was bummed to find out my favorite body wash Dove is tested on animals but strangely enough the last time I got body wash I could not afford Dove so I got Walmart’s brand Equate’s which is just like Dove body wash but I turned it around today and it says they do not test on animals and it’s a third of the cost. Score!! Check out store brands of your favorites they may save you money and save an animal at the same time.

In summary, you can be cruelty free and get great products and even save some money.
